2. Easy Commute. One of the best features about living in Guelph, Ontario is that it is located within an hour’s distance from some of the most populous and major cities in the Greater Toronto area. In the west, the city of Toronto is only 70 kilometers from Guelph thus ensuring a short 45 to 60-minute one-way trip.
Oh and the housing cost obviously. Guelph has a cool downtown. In my opinion, it is cooler than Kitchener's or Waterloo's. The south end of Guelph, anything south of the university, is suburbs like Milton or Mississauga, bleh. Guelph's highway sucks, the Hanlon, why does it have so many traffic lights in a four lane highway. KW has a real highway.
Guelph has other strengths (safer, quieter, access to nice trails, cleaner air, good access to amenities for a small city) and I wish people would stop regurgitating that Guelph is some kind of diverse, thriving, and energetic hub of art, food, and music. It isn’t. It has some good stuff regarding that, 100% it does.
