He escapes from prison so that he may capture the real criminal, Elwood Harkness, who is also vying for the heart of Janice Marvin. Harkness' game is over when he attempts to sell to Janice's father some stock proxies that he has stolen from Jimmy's father. Jimmy is then cleared, and he and Janice resume a pleasant relationship.
