If the creators had actually continued to come up with original ideas, the storyline could have really shaped up into something special. As is, we're left with a disappointing narrative some people might like but almost no one will love.

  3. Hell girl season 1 is pretty reptitive. This season has the same format for almost every episode. But I suggest you watch episode 13 and episodes 25-26. Episode 25 explains hell girls backstory. It's been on hold for me for a while, I liked it a lot, but it is episodic and it's not a happy anime.

  4. Oct 13, 2005 · Re: Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) I can't say I like the series from only watching ep1. But it has more potential for me than before I watched it (ie just from reading descriptions and such). It seems a bit episodic, since the story for ep1 seems to end in ep1.

  5. Hell girl is one of my favorites( even got a tattoo from it) it's definitely worth the watch, but a heads up, the actual story doesn't really develop till a little bit in the middle. But it's really great, like the other guy said it's not scary but creepy and dark.
