- Go Whale Watching. If you’re visiting Maui between December and April, you’re here for a spectacular event: whale season. Each year, thousands of humpback whales migrate from Alaska to Hawaii to breed, birth, and nurture their babies and the best place to see them is right off the coast of Lahaina.

Dec 2, 2022 · Is Lahaina Worth Visiting? A hard YES! Lahaina is one of the most beautiful areas on Maui, and it has something for everyone. Lahaina is also very convenient because it has a mix of beaches, water activities and shopping that are all very close to each other.
Spend some time on luxurious Wailea Beach or in gorgeous Haleakala National Park, and don’t miss these hidden gems. While there are incredible beaches to the north and south, in Lahaina’s town center you will find a strong emphasis on art, history, culture, and community.
