DS3 is a shitshow all the way through, and ripping Awakened, which is the epilogue and arguably the scariest part of the game, is the ultimate disrespect by EA. That said it's like 5$ when it's on sale. Don't expect "closure" though. Definitely that dlc actually feels like a dead space game unlike the main game.
The awakened dlc is basically the end of ds3. They put it behind a micro transaction. 100% love it, and Dead Space 3. Yes they make the experience better if you plan to 100% the game. Awakened is story dlc, 100% worth getting. everything else is suits and weapon blueprints. so it's up to you if it's worth it.

Having that guide succeed is one reason I'm still here writing, so when Dead Space 3 came out I HAD to take it on!
