- Sentence Correction
In this activity, students read a paragraph that is full of errors. There may be spelling, punctuation, capitalization, or grammar errors. The student will rewrite the paragraph correcting all the errors.
Fix the Misspelled Words. Circle the spelling word in each sentence. If the word is spelled correctly, write CORRECT on the line. If the word is spelled incorrectly, write the correct spelling on the line.

z is the usual spelling for /z/. x is /z/ in words of Greek origin. s occurs at the end of a word as se /z/. 3s between two "long vowels" is /z/ in some southern US dialects. ss is pronounced /z/ in a few words. 4x /gz/ 5x /gz/ or /ks/ (dialectal variation).
