I think it's a vastly superior film. I'm lukewarm with Iguichi, but Shyness Machine Girl is legitimately clever and has at least 3 gags that had me laughing out loud.

Insanity from Japan. "The Machine Girl" is a modern blood-soak tale of revenge. A simple, candid payback story (which is a running theme with many characters getting onto the act as blood ties are important), however there's nothing restrained about its macabre humour and over-the-top visuals.
Machine Girl is J-splatter like the others you mentioned but the story is more serious while still being over the top.
