  2. I don't agree, Mar Del Plata is a bustling city by the sea. We had two wonderful days at Playa Grande (I think), very up market beaches and superb restaurants by the beach. There is a wonderful walk along the sea front back to the city centre, which I agree is a little tacky, but still worth a visit After all, it's only 30 minutes by plane from BA.
