Pros: 1. Easy to farm Magma Cream Cons: 1. Hard to navigate 2. Too much lava 3. No food or wood 4. Hard to build in 5. Few structures spawn here This Nether biome is perhaps the worst choice in the game. There's not much to see here, other than basalt, lava, and Magma Cubes that will attack the player on sight. It's easily the worst biome in the ga...
Pros: 1. Easy to farm skeletons 2. Bone blocks drop bone meal Cons: 1. Soul sand makes it hard to navigate 2. Dangerous due to skeletons 3. No food or wood Soul Sand Valleys might look impressive, but they're a pretty dead biome without any major resources. There are bone blocks around, certainly, which makes it a great place to come and farm bone ...
Pros: 1. Structures spawn commonly here 2. Great for mining gold, quartz, and Netherite Cons: 1. Lots of hostile mobs spawn here 2. Terrain is unpredictable 3. No food or wood The classic Nether biome, the Nether Wastes are an okay Nether spawn, but a horrible place to live in. All sorts of mobs spawn here, not just Zombie Pigmen, but also Piglins,...
Pros: 1. Great for trading with Piglins 2. Great for farming Hoglins for food 3. Structures spawn here 4. Wood in abundance Cons: 1. Dangerous without any gold armor 2. Hoglins can gang up on players easily 3. Unlivable due to abundance of mobs RELATED: Minecraft 1.18: Where To Find Diamonds Impressive visually, the Crimson Forest is a highly dange...
Pros: 1. Fewer mobs spawn here 2. Great for farming Endermen 3. Wood readily available Cons: 1. No source of food 2. Still in the Nether, so beds can't be used The Warped Forest is also visually quite stunning and is actually the safest Nether biomedue to the fact that it doesn't spawn Piglins or Hoglins. Both mobs seem to avoid this place like the...
Pros: 1. Visually stunning biome 2. Polar bears and rabbits can be found here Cons: 1. Hard to navigate 2. Difficult to build in 3. No structures spawn here 4. No easy food sources Ice Spikes are an impressive sight, but as a cold biome, it's among the worst. It's very hard to build here, and there's barely any food to be found nearby. Wood is also...
Pros: 1. Villages and pyramids spawn here 2. Easy to navigate 3. Easy to build in Cons: 1. Very little food, wood, and water 2. Visually bland 3. No weather changes 4. Mobs seem to spawn more abundantly due to flat ground The flatness of a desert biome might sound appealing, but it's a very barren biome with no versatility or weather changes. In sh...
Pros: 1. Easy place to find gold abundantly 2. Mineshafts spawn at a higher elevation 3. Terracotta and colorful sand are abundantly available Cons: 1. No reliable food sources 2. Not enough trees 3. Villages don't spawn here Looking for gold? Badlands is the best biome for finding gold in Minecraft. It spawns mineshafts at the surface level as wel...

No easy sources of food 3. Other structures are rare RELATED: Minecraft: The Best Changes In The 1.18 Update Mountains are a loved biome among Minecraft players, b...
Pros: 1. Easy visibility 2. Easy to build in 3. Villages, igloos, and pillager outposts can spawn here Cons: 1. Few easy sources of food 2. Almost no trees 3. Difficult to farm in Snowy plains are another barren biome in Minecraft. There are barely any trees or passive mobs ideal for food farming, so survival in a biome like this is quite difficult...

i prefer the spawn chunks, mostly for convenience. my last world was in the plains and i had a nice house above ground with a sprawling underground base beneath it (like resident evil!) in my current world i'm in a jungle and my entire base is underground at Y11. i like living in a hole, it's impressive and secreted away. but i miss the views!
