Imo it's the best game to enter the franchise, even today. It's sitting perfectly well between oldschool and newschool. If you like that game, good chances are you gonna like the older ones aswell as the newer ones. And when you start with 4U, playing the older games afterwards (like Freedom Unite for exemple) is a lot easier (easier to get into).
Prime 4U when the free dlc was still coming out was so goated. And even way after generations came out so many people played 4U. Hella lobbies, everyone was nice and helped each other out in turns, sharing guild cards, endgame grinding in the everwood for insane weapons and armor, you’d see the occasional super hacked quest and be faced with the biggest moral dilemma of ur life.
All of my yes. the game is worth it, what you miss from the demo, is the sense of accomplishment, those demo matchups were the culmination of preparation, arduous gathering, working hard to improve your skills with your weapon and calculating the patterns of your enemy, the Zest of Monster Hunter is accomplishment.
