A few films I would personally have ahead of Mulholland Drive: Hunger, Children of Men, Parasite, Pan’s Labyrinth. And a few maybes: The Social Network, Get Out, A Separation, There Will Be Blood. I do think Mulholland Drive is top ten, but more likely between 4-10 for me. 🤷🏻♂️

I recently watched Mulholland Drive for the first time after reading about how it is considered one of the best, if not the best, movie of modern times.
Jul 5, 2018 · The most obvious explanation of the movie is that the actress Betty is actually Diane Selwyn. The first two-thirds of the film is actually a perfect fantasy that is created by Betty (Diane) played by Naomi Watts. In the real world, she is depressed, washed up and suicidal.

Lynch is one of my favorite directors, I've seen all but one of his films and personally I think Mulholland Drive is not only Lynch's masterpiece but also just one of the greatest films I've ever seen. I'd say of all time, but I worry I haven't seen enough of the greats to make that claim yet.
