Dec 7, 2021 · The included images are not sourced from the 4K disc. Mulholland Drive was shot on 35 mm film using Panavision Panaflex Platinum cameras and has been newly scanned (by Criterion and Studiocanal in a joint venture) and restored under the watchful eye of director David Lynch and DoP Peter Deming, from the original camera elements, to form a 4K DI from which this UHD is sourced.

It's noticeably better. Any and all versions of Mulholland Drive are worth it. Unreal film. If you have a large enough and high quality television, I think you will appreciate the difference. The Studiocanal has a better video encode so there's finer grain and more high frequency detail with that disc. e.g. example 1 example 2 So if you're a nut for absolute picture quality or plan on viewing with a really large display/projector then that would be my pick.
