  2. The clue-searching and argument back when it came out can't be recreated, but even after that, it still holds up for me. Figuring it out matters less than feeling it. Even after "figuring it out" I don't think there's a way of making a totally consistent story for stuff like Mulholland Drive or Lost Highway when you dig into the details.

  3. A few films I would personally have ahead of Mulholland Drive: Hunger, Children of Men, Parasite, Pan’s Labyrinth. And a few maybes: The Social Network, Get Out, A Separation, There Will Be Blood. I do think Mulholland Drive is top ten, but more likely between 4-10 for me. 🤷🏻‍♂️
