In light of recent research in music therapy and stress reduction, it seems evident that music can play a significant role in the treatment of persons suffering from stress-related disorders. It has been demonstrated that music can dramatically influence physiological and psychological processes, and that it also provides, for most individuals, a non-threatening, pleasurable experience.
