Thanks in advance for any advice. Notch the trim around the door frame and slide the tile under the trim. Tiles won't crack if you thinset under them properly, and you've got enough subfloor stability. Like others have said, cut the trim with a hand wasp and slide the tile under.

Spread it over the tile and grout lines—or just over the grout lines with large-format tiles—with a grout float recommended for the type of grout you are using.
