Admission to U3 requires a U2 CGPA of 3.20 with no less than a B in U2 Physiology courses. Decisions for admission to U3 will be heavily influenced by student standing in U2 courses. The Department reserves the right to restrict the number of entering students in the Honours program.

In U3, there is no required physiology course. You need to choose 9 credits of upper-level physiology (ULP) courses from a wide pool of available PHGY, EXMD, and other life science courses. Be careful! The Honours Project course (PHGY 461D1/D2) is worth 9 degree credits, but only fulfills 3 ULP credits!
PHYS 519: students must take a 400-or-higher level quantitative course in the biological or biomedical sciences. Approval to take the selected course must be obtained from the departmental academic advisor (Dr. Guevara for 2022/23), who also will be available for consultation in making that choice.
