  4. It's more accessible but you lose some of the challenge I find you had in the first two. Gothic 3 was buggy back at release but community patches have fixed all the issues and it's now a very playable, wonderful game. I haven't played the Risen series, only shortly jumping into Risen 2. It seems like a mix between Gothic 3 and 2.
