I've seen that Pitt Law generally gives pretty good scholarships to people in my range (at least on LSData, fingers crossed I'm not the exception), and while that's nice the main reason I'm considering it is because my best friend lives there, and it's deeply influencing my desire to live and work there so I can be close to her.
Does anyone have insight into U Pitt law school other than the USNWR rankings. I've only heard great things but would like to hear more comments/opinions from you all. Thanks.

Law School will teach you everything you need to know about the law, a undergraduate degree in law would not prepare you for law school. Whereas, if you have a hard science degree it makes you more valuable - you want to do patent law you need a background in science.
Here is a checklist/schedule of what you should be doing during each season. Register for the June LSAT (~$200). Start researching ABA-Approved schools using statistics (LSAC.org, law school websites). Obtain a copy of your credit report (for private loan application purposes if you need them).
