The downside is that I haven't seen any real support from the team to make improvements or patches to broken things but I am still hopeful. You can play Ark mobile and have a better time than PixArk on the PC. And for free. To preface, I love Ark. Mostly. It has the makings of an absolutely great game.
It's pretty barebones compared to regular ark which has way more content and stuff to do, but the magic system was cool. Ark, over any other spin off. In regards to performance, Pixark will run smoother than Ark. I’d suggest watching a few gameplay videos.
So here's the deal. "Long" time player of Ark/Minecraft/varied survival games, including putting some time into a couple of Voxel games like Trove. My biggest concern, is the art direction does NOT look appealing to me. I'm the type of player that tends to lean towards "high quality", like running Minecraft on insanely good shaders, and so on.

Mar 27, 2018 · Played Pixark a bit yestreday, the game seems really neat. I got over 3000 hours on standard ark and still find some fun in pixark. In some aspects is easier than normal ark, that is on crafting and building, that will be great for people who like to be creative. Terraforming is also a thing! Some things need to be improved too.
