A proper Quantum Leap continuation really should have been on cable or streaming. (Yes, technically it is on peacock too, but it is a network tv show first and foremost.) This would have given the show the freedom to bring something new to the table, to explore with more gritty detail the nature of "leaping" and what it does to the leaper and those the leaper affects.
