RBC is now using Secure Email provided by Cisco. This Secure Email service allows RBC clients and others outside of RBC to safely receive (and reply to) encrypted email messages, including attachments, from an RBC employee.

Recently, we sent an email to our valued RBC business clients asking them to update their email servers to a more secure encryption protocol. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for safeguarding payment data now requires an encryption protocol which includes the Transport Layer Security (TLS) v1.1 or higher (TLS v1.2 is the RBC Standard).
Regular email is not secure — if you wish to contact us, send us a secure message within RBC Online Banking Up-to-date anti-virus / anti-spyware software and use of a firewall is always a good idea to make sure your computer is protected.
