Saline is definitely no longer an old farming town, and in fact, Saline probably has more spoiled rich kids than farmers now. Most other kids come from an upper middle class background for sure. This change is definitely possible, because the few years directly above and below me saw huge demographic changes as Saline became a suburb to raise kids instead of a farming community.
