UCSD is a nightmare. Only use when you have to deal with burns as they are the only burn hospital in SoCal. Sharp is significantly better than UCSD. UC is a training hospital so they will have varying levels of care. They don't weed out crappy students so expect poor bedside manner and completely clueless staff. 8.

The Scripps specialists and their imaging dept are both fantastic, esp compared to UCSD. I found out last year there were a couple mishaps back when I went to UCSD that were discovered by Scripps docs. On top, UCSD imaging posts results 7-14 days after the test, while Scripps posts 2-3 days.
