I was in the same boat as you a few years ago, and ubc is definitely a great school. But if it comes down to money and sfu is the better option for that, don’t let the “credibility” of the university have too much pull. The psyc program here is great :)
transfered w associates from Langara to SFU psych. I had a not great GPA, around 2.7? Good courses and profs, except for Rose in 300W which will make you wish you were dead. Same as anywhere you have to research the prof though.

In terms of "mandatory" must-take courses, unless you're ESL you should be good to go.
