There's no feeling of isolation in this movie, because the main characters are constantly meeting other people (including ). Much of the dialogue is poorly-written and a lot of the gore was just gore for gore's sake. Alessa's acting was terrible, even by children's standards.

The one thing that irks me the most: There’s just way, way too many people in this movie. The Silent Hill games are deeply personal stories where the feeling of isolation is absolutely crucial to the atmosphere. Where IS everybody? In the movie, you have a Mad Max church with effing crowd scenes.
