Ski Patrol is a lot tamer: The main area of concern is the strong language, which includes "s--t" and variations, "ass," "damn," and "crap." A bad guy makes a sexist comment and a racial slur.

    • Half the falls were real. This one should be a no-brainer. Skiers tend to fall while they’re learning and even when they hit a bad patch or take a wrong turn.
    • Several of the extras were actually recognized ski patrol. Just to insure the safety of the stars the film did employ several actual ski patrol members that were there to keep everyone safe.
    • There was a point and time when George Lopez wasn’t funny. Believe it or not, George Lopez did not really stand out in this film. It could have been that he was still getting started with his whole routine, but quite honestly he was funnier in Balls of Fury.
    • A number of people didn’t care for its sexually subjective poses. This is highly subjective as a lot of people didn’t mind. But there were a lot of sexually suggestive poses in this film.

Nov 22, 2022 · Ski Patrol (1990) was very late to the game and, with a PG rating, looked to reach youngsters who loved fart jokes and groin shots, but weren’t quite of age to enjoy bad language and T & A.Snowy Peaks resort is a local institution run by Pops (Ray Walston) and his fun-loving ski patrol, a gaggle of multi-cultural misfits who take nothing seriously except their jobs.

Produced by Paul Maslansky, whose greatest success has come from the "Police Academy" films, "Ski Patrol" is the same kind of juvenile low humor, combining some "Naked Gun"-style off-the-wall moments with Three Stooges-level slapstick.
