May 22, 2019 · Sonic Racing Transformed was (is) one of the best cart racers of all time, perhaps second only to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. And Team Sonic Racing gives Transformed a run for its money.

Thankfully the pc version is magnificient, and the xbox one backwards compatibility fixes the framerrate issues of the 360 version :) but yeah, on switch this game would be dope, I honestly think it is better than Mk8.
I'm not sure what it is about the Sonic racing games, but I had a ton of fun with All Stars Racing Transformed and now Team Sonic Racing. I would give Team Sonic Racing a 7 out of 10. Totally worth the $40.
Transformed had a great system of unlocking car upgrades through xp. It was a great way to encourage you to try out characters you normally wouldn't bother playing. It was satisfying to leveling them up. Now you can unlock all the mods for a character without once playing as them.
