It's certainly worth doing once! I think if you make dinner reservations you don't have to pay to go up, not positive though. The rotating restaurant is overpriced but it's a fun thing to do and the views on a clear day are worth it imo.

From my experience, the best time to visit the Space Needle is right when they open—at 10 am Sunday to Friday, or 9 am on Saturday. Visiting in the morning is fantastic because it’s quieter and less crowded, and the skies are often clearer, making for excellent photo opportunities.
