May 25, 2015 · Splendor is an easy game to prepare. The 3 card types are simply shuffled in their individual decks and 4 cards from each deck are placed in a row face-up. These form the 12 cards in the marketplace that are on offer at any one time. The remainder of each deck is set next to its relative row.
Play then proceeds clockwise. On their turn, a player must choose to perform only one of the following four actions: Take 3 gem tokens of different colors. Take 2 gem tokens of the same color. This action is only possible if there are at least 4 tokens of the chosen color left when the player takes them.
