I feel like Splendor is a game where players can learn to think ahead and strategize, and Azul is a game where it’s better to have that skill going in to the game. I recommend Splendor first, then Azul as a next step.

  2. Marvel Splendor is like the base game with 1 of the ok mini expansions built in. So it's better than base game but not quite as good as base + expansion. But I must say this: I love Splendor but my kids won't play it because it's "so boring." They do think Marvel Splendor is "really fun" despite being almost identical gameplay.

The player who then has the highest number of prestige points is declared the winner (don’t forget to count your nobles). In case of a tie, the player who has purchased the fewest development cards wins!

I fully expect my grandkids to be enjoying Splendor. My kids bring it out over and over again. They don't seem likely to get bored of it any time soon.
