I don't think it's worth it to pay for obtaining voicemail. I am overall satisfied with the service but your fees are very high. Provide more enhanced service because a lot of people use text now but they don't switch out of WiFi because your fees are too high. Date of experience: March 27, 2024

The way I understand the TextNow free plan is that it’s ad-supported and to make calls it has to be VoIP if you BYOP. Cellular fallback is only an option on TextNow phones which uses Sprint.

If you don't have a cell data plan and constant WiFi connection, TextNow is your best bet; but if you have a cell data plan or you just want the phone service over WiFi, I would suggest Google Voice or Talkatone, but you should try them to see if they work for you.
I can't recommend TextNow's paid plans unless you do lots of international travel. look for a no-contract carrier that allows native calling and texting - both Unreal Mobile and TextNow VOIP's are quite buggy, and they can really hamper you if you need reliable cell service.
