Dec 12, 2023 · The only difference I can see between my Atari Flashback Gold 50th Anniversary Edition and the Atari Flashback 12 Gold is the fact that mine has the Atari 50 branding on it, while the 12 just has Atari and the Fuji logo there, like the 2600/2600+ does. Of course, we know what the 2600+ comes with. 1 controller and a nice 10-in-1 cartridge.

I don't have the flashback 12 gold (I have several similar models) but I prefer the Gamestation pro to them. Out of the box the game selection is kinda lame, but just upgrade the firmware to 1.30 and you can add your own roms. Mine has full atari 2600/5200/7800 collections as well as nintendo, sega and arcade games.

Apr 29, 2014 · See who can get the high score and best it. Time trials is great too. Any games by Activision is gold. Plus since this isn't your first system. Get third party controllers. Check a local vintage store and ask to try them. They are easier to handle than OEM Joysticks. That's a big drawback to people new to the Atari 2600.
