In 1965, Donald Grey Barnhouse wrote a book about it called The Invisible War. It is the battle for your mind, and that battle is vicious. It is intense. It is unrelenting, and it is unfair because Satan never plays fair.
We try to fight the fear on our own, but we come up lacking—because the battle is spiritual, and we don’t have the right weapons. But God “has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7, NKJV).
The battle we experience in our thoughts and emotions is often influenced by unseen forces. The enemy knows that if he can control our minds, he can control how we live. That’s why he works so hard to plant seeds of doubt, fear, and insecurity in our minds.

2 Timothy 1:7 – for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. Replace those wrong beliefs with right beliefs based on God’s Word, and you will eradicate those fears and anxieties. Through the power of right believing, you will win the battle for your mind.
