Anything that you make an idol in your life can be a stronghold — fear, guilt, resentment, insecurity. All of these things can be strongholds in your mind. And the Bible says that we are to tear them down.
We try to fight the fear on our own, but we come up lacking—because the battle is spiritual, and we don’t have the right weapons. But God “has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7, NKJV).
Replace those wrong beliefs with right beliefs based on God’s Word, and you will eradicate those fears and anxieties. Through the power of right believing, you will win the battle for your mind.
