In 1965, Donald Grey Barnhouse wrote a book about it called The Invisible War. It is the battle for your mind, and that battle is vicious. It is intense. It is unrelenting, and it is unfair because Satan never plays fair.
Drawing on what the Bible tells us about the power of our thoughts as well as what we can learn from modern psychology, particularly an area called cogni - tive behavioral therapy, we have the ability to change our lives for the better.

The Battle for Your Mind. Billy Graham * Stanford E. Murrell. One of the most important things in our lives is the control of our minds. Proverbs 16:32 He that ruleth his mind is greater than he that taketh a city. The mind is that part of a person that thinks and reasons. As such, it is not morally neutral. It is either good or evil.
Whether we realize it or not, there is a battle raging in our minds at every moment: spiritual warfare between light and darkness, good and evil, Jesus Christ and Satan. We cannot afford to be ignorant, and we cannot possibly be neutral. 2 Corinthians 10 shares encouragement for us in this battle for our minds.
The Battle. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” The word translated thinks in the above verse means, “to be a cal-culator.” It also means, “to act as a gatekeeper.”1 As believers in Jesus Christ, we are called to be gatekeepers.
