May 26, 2016 · If nothing else, read the book and see his entire position on war....it is eye opening. His last sentence states: "When people speak to you about a preventative war, you tell them to go and fight it. I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.
