  2. The empyrean have no weakness, no trade off. They are the perfect all round headphones, at the price point, beautiful (I have copper black), built to be an heirloom, and can be worn forever. They are however open back (and sound actually quite good to those around the listener, to a point..)

The Empyrean might be the best choice for you and you already own it. If you’re lacking the smoother highs and some detail get better cables for $500 and call it a day.

  4. The Empyrean is super comfy but not particularly competitive at that price for technical performance. FR is also somewhat of an acquired taste. Diana V2 when I heard it was not as detailed as the Phi, and it also had some weirdness in the upper mids. Keep in mind that's show conditions.
