The Inheritance Games is a Young Adult novel which focuses on down-on-her-luck high school student, Avery. The book is a combined Rags to Riches and Quest plot when Avery, who has lost her mother and is living in her car, find herself inheriting billions of dollars from a stranger.

Mar 18, 2024 · Great Read -- Not the Deepest but Still Worth Reading. This series is well-written, captivating, and well worth a read. The books detail a modern rags-to-riches story and an addictive mystery. By no means is this book revolutionary, but regardless, it is super enjoyable and the character development throughout the series is great to read.

There are pages of eye-rollingly cliched romance tropes to wade through, but it's PG stuff, and the mystery part of it is fun and engaging, and the cliff-hanger nature of the ending allows you to believe that there will be a clever reveal in the next book that ties up all the loose ends. The second book destroys everything.
Apr 8, 2024 · The excitement grew when Xander's involvement in the game at Tobias' request was revealed, followed by him receiving a letter to find Toby. This left me eagerly anticipating the next book. Overall, The Inheritance Games was a solid read, although it didn't completely blow me away. Thanks for reading!
