  1. Nov 23, 2004 · The movie is not funny, ever, in any way, beginning to end. It’s a colossal miscalculation. Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis star as Luther and Nora Krank, who live in a Chicago suburb with their daughter Blair (Julie Gonzalo). Julie is going to Peru in the Peace Corps, so this will be their first Christmas without her, and Luther suggests that ...

  2. I found the late, great Roger Elbert's review of this film and he says it better than I ever could. The movie's complete lack of a sense of humor is proven by its inability to see that the Kranks are reasonable people and their neighbors are monstrous.* What it affirms is not the Christmas spirit but the Kranks caving in.

‘Mickey’ is the only film on the list not based on John Grisham’s novel but on a script he conceived. The IRS department discloses the truth, forcing him to flee the town with his son. In a new place, his son shines in baseballa...

Grisham’s first novel adaptation was made with an ensemble cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson, and Kevin Spacey. ‘A Time to Kill’ follows a girl named Tonya who is brutally raped by two racists, and his father fights the criminals in court. When justice is not served, he takes matters into his own hands. Roger...

Based on the seventh novel by Grisham, director Gary Fleder consolidated two cinema giants, Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman, for the film. However, there are differences between the novel and the movie despite both proclaiming similar cat-and-mouse chases. A mass murder-suicide case is revoked when a woman files a suit against the gun manufacturers...

‘The Gingerbread Man’ proves the significance of Grisham as a writer. Directed by Robert Altman, the film focuses on corrupt lawyer Rick Magruder (Kenneth Branagh), who files a suit against an unhinged man named Dixon Doss (Robert Duvall). He does it under the influence of Dixon’s daughter, Mallory (Embeth Davidtz), and sends him to a mental asylum....

  4. In the next 12 weeks, hundreds of carpenters, plasterers, and painters had built what would become the largest exterior set ever for a movie, being more than 700 feet long and including 16 houses. What Stover called "the core five" were the houses of the Kranks, the Frohmeyers, the Scheels, the Beckers, and the Trogdons, which he claimed had "full ground floors that are dressed and you can see ...

  5. Lots of people love it, but most haven't even heard of it. I know its a series not movie but for me it's one of the best ever made. Should be spoken of in the same breath as GoT or better in my opinion as there's lots of actual history at play. Rome HBO please watch 😁
