Sep 10, 2024 · That’s a 28% increase over the 448 GB/s (14 GT/s) standard PS5. The CPU between both PS5s remain unchanged, but the Pro has something called a ‘High CPU Frequency Mode” which increases the CPU to 3.85GHz. That’s a 10% boost over the standard console. There’s no mention of this in Sony’s official announcement.

Sep 10, 2024 · We kept the look of the PS5 Pro consistent with the overall PS5 family of products. You’ll notice the height is the same size as the original PS5, and the width is the same size as the current PS5 model to accommodate higher performance specs. Players can add an Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive, or swap out console covers when they become available.
