Aug 18, 2023 · Duel Links vs Master Duel: So Which Should You Play? Both games are absolutely high-quality card game simulators, but each one appeals to different fans of the Yu-Gi-Oh! IP. If you love the anime and want a generally more casual experience, Duel Links is probably the best choice for you.
Duel Links rules are a bit different: smaller decks (20 to 30 cards), smaller extra deck (max 7 cards), smaller field (3 for monster and 3 for spell/traps), less cards available (not every card work in the speed duel format), less life points (4k) and less time for turns.
1- Master Duel simulates the TCG/OCG formats and game's structure. So 5 field slots+ centre field, main phase 2, Master Rule 5, etc... Duel links on the other hand simulates speed duel's format. 2-Master Duel has like 99% of all cards that've been released in the TCG/OCG while Duel Links has much much limited card pool.

Master Duel, is more f2p friendly compared to Duel Links. MD games are longer compared to DL which usually only take a few minutes. MD simulates the actual real life card game while DL gives off a more anime feel.
