The Louisiana State Bar Association says when the origins of the letter were investigated, it appeared to be a phishing scam aimed at getting personal information.

  3. This is not a lawyerits a scammer. That’s the most important thing to know. But the letter sounds convincing, explaining that the firm has tried to contact family members. No heir, they say, has come forward to collect the multi-million-dollar life insurance policy or inheritance.

  4. It's a solicitation letter from that law firm. It is a boilerplate letter they send out. They must search court records or get a list of new filings. Someone is suing you. Go to the OC Court website and search case information. It's free and you don't need anything just the case number.

  5. This is from TPH Law - a scammer group in Markham. They also send letters by snailmail from TPH and Saadi Law - another scammer in the same office at 110 Copper Creek Dr Suite 301 Markham, Ontario. If you are getting calls from them, check your credit score.
