imo its very clearly about a girl who’s been hurt and used by other men so she starts doing the same thing to men who like her. the new relationship is unfulfilling and robotic but it provides her security knowing they’ll never leave her or hurt her like the other men. if she gets tired of this guy? she can just do the same thing. like men did to her
Not to sound like an old hipster, but my introduction to TV Girl was listening to their EPs on YouTube and Bandcamp like 12-13 years ago. I think their biggest song at the time had like 3000 views and 15 comments. These guys were niche as fuck. So, a couple of days ago I saw an ad that they were performing here in New Zealand.
