The term "doll" or "the dolls" does exclusively refer to trans women. Being called "pretty as a doll" is VERY different then the context/comments made on drag race to LaLa. In the queer community a doll is a trans woman. There is a rich history there and you are very much incorrect.
Yes doll is generally gendered female, it depends more how it was said here. And as other people have said if your masculinity is so fragile that you cant handle someone using a word that is more often (but not exclusively eg. barbie doll, Ken doll) used for women then your issues are a bit deeper.

Definitely something from 2a-2c. Doll is a slang term from queer culture and yes it pretty much refers to trans women, especially those who are seen as very beautiful and feminine. Sometimes it can also refer to drag queens who are also very beautiful even if they don’t ID as women.

Apr 17, 2019 · Owlman is right: "action figure" for toys that look like men/boys, "doll" for girls' toys. BUT - if the figure is Wonderwoman then that would be an action figure simply because she's kicking butts and killing bad guys. Most girls toys are not "kicking butts and killing bad guys" so we just call them "dolls".
