   Quadra/Hillside is a good neighborhood for students. Very central. Short, direct bus trips on the #4 and #6 to UVIC and downtown. Easy to get to Blanshard to get one of the 70s to the ferries. That intersection has pretty much everything in terms of basics. Safe but not pretentious.
