May 31, 2024 · The Sky Hub is a better router than Virgin Media's Hub 3 but if you want a stonkier router, you'll have to either plump for Gig1 with Virgin Media or add Sky Wi-Fi Max at extra cost. However, this is now also the case with customers choosing a full fibre service with Sky (or any other full fibre provider). Virgin Media offers average speeds of 54Mbps, 132Mbps, 264Mbps, 362Mbps, 516Mbps and 1130Gbps, known as 'Gig1'.

Aug 13, 2024 · Winner: Virgin Media. The entry-level Virgin deal is cheaper than Sky's. Virgin also requires less commitment and a shorter contract length, so you'd be free to switch earlier. However, Sky Broadband 75 is still good value for money, and an excellent choice if you don’t live in a Virgin network area.
