YouTube TV combines the best of all things TV and streaming has to offer with access to live TV, on-demand movies, full seasons of popular TV shows, unlimited DVR storage space, YouTube videos, and the latest news clips.
Aug 1, 2021 · I'm testing all the cord cutting services to see which is the best for me. Here's what I like and hate about YouTube TV.
- YouTube TV just got a price increase that puts it in the middle of the field. Outside of the more-affordable Sling TV (starting at $40 per month), YouTube TV's $73 monthly fee is right in the middle of the road for most services.
- YouTube TV was the first to offer unlimited DVR, but now it's far from alone. Originally, cloud-based DVRs for the best cable TV alternatives were beta features, and also offered providers a way to get you to pay more.
- YouTube TV's multiview is still growing. Multiview, if you haven't heard of it, is an emerging feature in live TV apps that lets you view more than one channel at a time.
- YouTube TV offers the best interface. Just this past weekend, I was discussing YouTube TV's best feature, its interface. Yes, while YouTube TV offers tons of channels and the "key plays" feature that helps you catch up on sports games with a series of curated highlights, its snappy and responsive apps are (in my opinion), its best feature.
- Favorite Channels & Hide Other Channels. YouTube TV’s live guide will allow you to custom channels to show the favorite channels you want at the top and hide other ones.
- Pause Your YouTube TV Membership. Did you know you can pause your YouTube TV membership? Maybe it’s summer and you are busy and you don’t want to pay for it?
- Create a Family Group. Do you share your account with your spouse, kids, or other loved ones who live with you? Google lets you share YouTube TV with 5 other people at no extra cost.
- Report Bad DVR Recordings. It happens you tried to DVR something and the end of the show is cut off. Did you know that you can report bad recordings to YouTube TV?
