1. Reaver armorwhile wearing the reaver visage is probably the best armor set for the Pot of Pain if entered immediately because of its several movement benefits and it being classless. 2. If the player chooses to wait until defeating the Moon Lord then Winter Soldier armorwould be more preferable with its high defensive stats. 3. Astral armoris a cheaper but less effective armor set as it is obtained before defeating the Moon Lord, but can still prove effective.

1. A dashing accessory is an absolute must in order to defeat the Pot of Pain. 1.1. The best accessory would be the Asgardian Aegis because of its long dash length and high defensive stats however it is only obtainable after defeating the Sentinels of the Devourer. 1.2. The Elysian Aegis or Asgard's Valorcan also work if the player wants to obtain a lesser version of the Asgardian Aegis earlier. 1.3.
