Feb 16, 2023 · No. Also empty stats to describe a player is so over used already. Hornets have a lot of problems. Rozier and oubre are basically the only ones on that roster besides lamelo that can create shots for themselves at times. Both are inneficent. Lamelo is basically the only one that’s a good playmaker on that roster too.
Nov 26, 2021 · One can think very highly of Ball and also think advanced stats in the NBA are severely flawed and should be taken with a grain of salt. It’s funny to me that you’re arguing Ball is a top 10 player right now. Come on now. Future top 10 player is certainly arguable, he’s not top 10 or top 12 today.
Feb 2, 2022 · Edwards is the better scorer (better efficiency and bigger volume) and better defender. LaMelo is the better passer and probably does more to generate efficient offense despite being the worse scorer. The question is wether Edwards defense makes up for the gap in the offense. I think it very much depends on the team. Reply reply.
Oct 27, 2024 · He's one of the best pure passers we've ever seen. The scoring game will come and go. When the 3 isn't falling, he'll be prone to gross scoring games. Such is life when you can only score from 3, you live and die by it. "Being in my home.
Sep 22, 2020 · The fact that Lamelo can’t score well isn’t a death sentence, but the fact that his only real positive skill is his vision might be. Compare him to a guy like Simmons (who’s at the extreme end of being a non-scoring threat).
Feb 11, 2022 · First, as a PG he is very tall and lanky. This allows him to see the floor really well and make great passes. He is one of the best playmakers in the league. Second, he attacks the basket really hard and well. He is a great finisher and makes teams pay at the line, shooting 86% percent. Third, his shooting still needs work.

Further, when you compares stats per 36, the players aren't that far off. And in the one game they played head to head, they had essentially identical stat lines, with Hampton coming away with a monster ...

Sep 20, 2023 · Constantly relocating for 3s, makes cuts all the times, sets off ball screens, and he has 0 problem going in for a rebound against bigger players. He’s not setph curry with the off ball movement or anything, and he definitely played a little too selfish last season, but his style of play imo is pretty encouraging.
