(ソニック&チップ 恐怖の館, Sonikku & Chippu Kyōfu no Yakata?, lit. "Sonic & Chip House of Terror") is a 3D-animated, comedy-based, dialogue-less short by SEGA VE Animation Studio, known as Marza Animation Planet Inc. today, based on and taking place within the events of Sonic Unleashed. In the short, Sonic and Chip enter a classic haunted house that is haunted by three ghosts, two of who are trying to win the affection of a third, Lah, by photographing the expressions of people they have scared. However, the ghosts did not expect the brave Sonic to be a Werehog. The short was originally released on 17 November 2008. In Japan, the short was screened at nine multiplexes nationwide for a limited period of three weeks from 20 December 2008 to 9 January 2009, and broadcast on Kids Station starting 1 March 2009, before becoming freely available on the official Japanese website and Xbox LIVE/PlayStation Store services on 9 April 2009. Aside from replacing Sonic and Chip's voices, altering the ending credits to reflect the change of voice actors, and adding the "Sonic & Chip House of Terror" subtitle to the title card, the Japanese version's content remained the same.

Night of the Werehog also has a sequel called Ghost Tale, which was released on October 31, 2023, about 15 years after the former's original release.

    Characters:

    •Chip

    •Lah (first appearance)

    •Sonic the Hedgehog

    •Sonic the Werehog

    •Su (first appearance)

The short opens with two boys entering a haunted house during a rainstorm. As they explore the house, they are watched by a pair of ghosts named Su and Uh. The two ghosts scare the children out and take pictures of their frightened faces. Once they take their photos, they return to a ghost girl named Lah and present her their photos to impress her. Ultimately, Lah chooses Uh's picture and rewards him with a kiss, leaving Su defeated.

Immediately, Sonic and Chip enter the house. Sonic is interested but Chip is rather frightened. Su scared Chip when he passes by a mirror with a freaky reflection of himself. The photo of Chip impresses Lah, thereafter, the ghosts continue to scare Chip to win her heart. Even Sonic teasingly makes a scary face at Chip and accidentally causes him to faint. The pile of pictures of a frightened Chip grows with each scare. However, Lah is dismayed to see several photos of Sonic that showed him unaffected by their scares, holding a book, yawning, and making a silly face at the camera.

The male ghosts then try to intimidate Sonic and Chip disguised in suits of armor. As Chip cowers in fear, Sonic transforms into his Werehog form upon seeing the full moon and knocks the two ghosts back, causing their cameras to take photos of themselves, before they run away in terror. Lah then sees the photos of the male ghosts scared and laughs hysterically. Humiliated and enraged, both ghosts decide to team up and fuse together to form a large minotaur ghost named Baker to attack Sonic.

While Sonic uses his abilities as a Werehog, Baker gains the upper hand by turning invisible and intangible to dodge every attack Sonic throws at him. As the two fight, Chip discovers that Sonic can see Baker by taking its photo. While trying to exploit this fault, the ghost uppercuts Sonic high into the air as he waited for the photo to develop. As he free-fell, Sonic took multiple photos of the ground to expose Baker, only to be attacked again as he tried to make the photos develop faster. After the photos finish, they reveal Baker mockingly posing the same ways Sonic was when Su and Uh took photos of him.

Infuriated, Sonic begins randomly attacking his surroundings, only to take a full charge from Baker and crash into the wall. As Sonic lays unconscious on the ground, Baker proceeded to take his photo. However, Su and Uh begin to fight over the camera, as they both want to impress Lah, causing Baker to separate into the two ghosts. As they fight over the camera, Sonic reawakens and scares them with a roar, causing them to fall backwards. Sonic then grabs them and swings them around before tossing them high above him, waiting for them to fall back down, and finishing with a powerful punch that sends the ghosts flying to the moon. Right before he punched, the camera went off just before Sonic sent the final blow. Lah found the taken photo of Sonic as the Werehog and falls in love with him.

In the morning, Lah impersonates Chip and has Sonic take a picture with her. When the photo comes out, it shows Lah in her true form. After the credits, Su and Uh are seen sadly watching Lah (who is still in Chip’s form) and Sonic walk away. They turn around and look at the real Chip, who has been kidnapped so Lah can take his place, struggling to be freed.
